Paediatric First Aid

CPR (Child & Infant) (Including AED)
Respiratory Emergencies.
Child / Infant Assessment.
Child / Infant Choking
Infantile Convulsions.
Wounds & Bleeding.
Burns, Scalds, Chemical Poisoning.
Qualification: On successful completion of the course (Written & Practical Assessment) each participant will receive a Paediatric First Aid Certificate issued by Absolute Safety.

Living With Teens
Date: Wednesday 2nd March for 6 evenings
Time: 8.00pm—10.00pm Cost: Donation
Six sessions designed specifically for the parents of Teenagers.
This course looks at the following:
Communication/ Listening
Health /Stress
Drugs /Peer pressure
Conflict/Love and Limits
Needs of Young People
Self-esteem for all the family

Other Parenting Programmes that may be offered:

-Raising Boys and Girls—for Fathers
-Starting School

Prism

Parents/Guardians of children attending Rainbows/Spectrum
Parents/Guardians are invited to participate in their own peer support while the children & younger people are attending Rainbows for children or Spectrum for teenagers

Buntús Refresher Training

Time: 10am to 1.30pm Cost: Free
untús is a comprehensive physical activity programme for 2 to 5 year olds

After School Club
Date: Wednesday & Thursday during School Terms Time: 3.00pm –5.00pm
Cost: Per Term
A Club for National School children, it is an opportunity to get some homework done with time also for socialising & games.

Baby Signs Parent Workshop
How to communicate with your baby before your baby can talk
Date: Wednesday 23rd February at 11am or Tuesday 29th March at 5pm
Cost: €45

This workshop is specially designed for parents of children from birth to 24 months and will teach you all you need to know to begin using Baby Signs Program at Home. Included in the Workshop fee is the Complete Started Kit which includes a Parent Guide, a DVD with video dictionary, Baby Signs DVD for baby, 4 chunky board books for baby and a quick flip reference guide.

Baby Talk
Date: Every Monday
Time: 10am to 12pm Cost: €2 or donation per family
A group for new mothers and their babies to meet with others, for a cuppa and a chat in a child friendly environment


Childsplay for all
Date: Every Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 10.00am—12.30pm Cost: €2 or donation per family
Come, meet and enjoy being with other parents/carers/ guardians and their babies, waddlers and toddlers.

Childsplay for Dads
